Chatbots and AI chat GPT's and even search engines, have changed the way people interact and obtain information.
Independent of what language or jargon content is written, you can now ask your own questions and get informed on your interest that you have with information.
Communication is like a conversation, and make otherwise complex information accessible to many. Centralised systems also will get the information of the many to their database, and we do not know what biases and limitations are embedded about the entity that is providing the answers.
We need to have a the same way of engagement, but on our own content. Or curated open data sets.
citizen.chat is doing just that.
You add your data, or use open data sets that are already there. and ask questions and get answers that you would like to know. Unbiased and in a controlled environment.
As a core example to illustrate the importance of unbiased and uncensored content. is wikileaks.
You can try and test if openai chatGPT will provide you about an answer on the public data of the leaked wikileaks files.
What if the wikileak files are uploaded as an open data set and you will be getting questions about all the 5 million queries that the wikileaks contains? Would that not be something that benefits journalists, and informed citizens?
Transparency in data sources, so information can be checked from where it came from.
